In an interview with Forbes in early July, Kanye West said he no longer supports U.S. President Donald Trump, saying, “I am taking the red hat off.” He claimed that his decision to run for president in the 2020 U.S. election is not a stunt.
On July 4, American Independence Day, West announced his presidential bid on Twitter, setting the internet alight.
But, some think that Kanye’s presidential campaign is just a PR stunt to publicize his new album.
