    The July 1 Medal award ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday. After the ceremony, the awardees, who have embodied and conveyed the people-centered values of the Communist Party of China (CPC), expressed their inspirations, and hopes for the Party.

    “The honor belongs to every CPC member working on different fronts,” said awardee Zhang Guimei, a teacher who has helped more than a thousand girls fight for their destinies.

    “Once you become a CPC member, you must wholeheartedly serve the people,” said Zhi Guangyin, a 69-year-old recipient.
