Josh Cavallo comes out as world’s only openly gay pro footballer

Daily Mail published this video item, entitled “Josh Cavallo comes out as world’s only openly gay pro footballer” – below is their description.

Versatile Adelaide United star Josh Cavallo released a lengthy and heartfelt clip on social saying he has been ‘hiding who he is’ and ‘living a double life’. The 21-year-old – who has also played for fellow A-League side Western United and third-tier outfit Melbourne City NPL in Australia – said he had received ‘immense’ support from friends and team-mates at the club after coming out to them, and said he wanted to show others ‘they do not need to act like something you’re not.’ And Barcelona and ex-Spain centre-back Pique led the praise for Cavallo, thanking him personally for his heartfelt video.
