Jordan’s King Abdullah heads to occupied West Bank amid tensions

Jordan’s King Abdullah is travelling to Ramallah on Monday to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The visit to the occupied West Bank follows several weeks of tension in Jerusalem’s Old City over discriminatory restrictions against Muslims at al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

The Jordanian and Israeli relationship has also been on shaky ground.

Al Jazeera’s Scott Heidler reports from Ramallah.
