Johnson tells MPs during grilling to ‘move on’ from Cummings affair

It is – says the Health Secretary – our civic duty and personal responsibility to follow the instructions. But did Dominic Cummings?

That was still the challenge from senior MPs as they questioned the Prime Minister this afternoon. Some on his own side said their constituents would not understand why the Prime Minister was backing Mr Cummings amid allegations he had broken the lockdown rules.

And they feared the result would be less public compliance with the new rules.
