    “We must end this uncivil war,” Joe Biden said after being officially sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, and before moving swiftly into action to overturn a series of Trump-era executive orders on everything from coronavirus to climate change and immigration.

    Biden pledged to bring unity, health and economic revival to the nation from the very place that has become a symbol of a country at war with itself. The inauguration celebrations took place behind barriers erected after the siege on the US Capitol building, and were shaped by the pandemic ravaging America.
