President Joe Biden was interrupted by hecklers during a rally in Georgia on Thursday night.
The protesters shouted from the sidelines of a drive-in rally in Duluth, chanting, “close private detention centres” and “end detention now!”
Mr Biden responded by saying that he wants to end the use of private prisons in the US.
“Folks. Y’all know what they’re talking about. There should be no private prisons, period. None, period. That’s what they’re talking about in private detention centres. They should not exist. And we are working to close all of them.”
