Joe Biden: Floyd verdict a giant step forward in fight against racism | ITV News

ITV News published this video item, entitled “Joe Biden: Floyd verdict a giant step forward in fight against racism | ITV News” – below is their description.

The name of Derek Chauvin will be remembered as the police officer who murdered George Floyd by kneeling on his neck for nine minutes. He will also enter the history books as the first white Minneapolis officer, in his department’s 150 years, to be convicted of murder.

Now the entire department is to face its own investigation.

Since Chauvin was found guilty, America has been giving its verdict on the verdict, as it tries to heed the past and seek a better future. George Floyd’s brother told us the family was ecstatic.

President Biden declared it a giant step forward in the fight against racism but it was not enough. We can’t stop here, he said.
