    Former NRL superstar Jarryd Hayne faces the prospect of up to 14 years jail after being found guilty of sexual assault.

    A jury at his second trial found he raped a woman on grand final night in 2018 after the jury at his first trial was unable to reach a verdict.

    Detective Superintendent Stacey Maloney, NSW Police Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad Commander, spoke after the verdict was announced.

    “In terms of victims coming forward, we want to hear your story. We need you to know that we believe you.”
