Gen Kevin Schneider, commander of U.S. Forces #Japan, was quoted at a recent press release as saying, “In spite of the immense global impact from COVID, the Japan-U.S. Alliance did not falter” and has “remained ready to fight and win.” Later this month, the Malabar Exercises, a large-scale annual naval drill by members of the Quad – the U.S., Australia, India and Japan – will also take place. So, is anything different about this year’s naval drills?
