Japan has been sweltering through the worst heatwave on record, with the capital recording nine straight days of temperatures over thirty-five degrees. The public have been asked to cut their energy use for the next few months to help ease the strain on the country’s power grid. Resident Melanie Brock tells The World the heat has been horrendous.
