The Japanese government has strongly denied rumours that it was planning to cancel Tokyo Olympic Games for a second time because of the coronavirus pandemic. The rumours were stronger after London Times newspaper claimed Tokyo considered their organization impossible. Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga has nevertheless strongly stated that it is not the case, judging those reports “unfounded”, as FRANCE 24’s Michael Penn reports from Tokyo.
