In Japan, initial success in the fight against coronavirus is now being reversed and doctors are warning the country’s medical system could collapse as the number of cases surges.
The Japanese Government has called widespread testing a waste of resources and resisted calls for a full lockdown.

For the country with the world’s oldest population, if lockdown lite fails, the consequences could be catastrophic.
