Japan deploys Izumo warship to protect US vessel after N. Korea threats to turn it into ‘ghost’

Japan’s largest warship Izumo departed Yokosuka port on Monday morning amid rising tension following missiles tests by North Korea. The Izumo is tasked with escorting a United States supply ship in the western Pacific, according to Japanese media.
