Senior research fellow, Dr Andreas Kupz tells 7NEWS it is the most advanced microscope of its kind north of Brisbane.
“It’s the only one of its kind in JCU in Cairns, we have a similar one in Townsville but its several years older now and this technology advances quite quickly.”
