CGTN published this video item, entitled “Jakarta cemetery running out of space as COVID-19 burials increase” – below is their description.
East Jakarta’s Pondok Ranggon cemetery is a funeral complex the local government designated as a grave for those who died from COVID-19. It is estimated that it will reach its limit in October, as COVID-19 burials keep increasing. The local government is currently expanding the area to about 6,500 square meters. The expansion also increases the workload for gravediggers, from 10 graves per day to at least 30 to 40 graves daily. Indonesia has reported 233,000 COVID-19 cases and a death toll of 9,222 as of September 17.
