Jacob Blake’s family delivers powerful message to protesters: “You must fight”

The family of Jacob Blake, a Black man shot multiple times in the back by Kenosha police officers, delivered a powerful message on Friday to protesters gathered at the March on Washington to protest police brutality and racial injustice.

Blake’s sister Letetra Widman told Black people to fight for racial equality and justice “with self love.” She delivered a specific message to Black men, telling them “to protect the Black family unit.”

Jacob Blake Sr. called on Black people to “stand up” and said he would “hold court on systematic racism” in the U.S.
