Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “It’s a ‘scary future for young people’ as an advanced society means less jobs” – below is their description.
The Australian’s Adam Creighton says it’s a “scary future for young people” because as society progresses and technology advances, it’s going to be harder “for our advanced societies to create jobs”. “I think it is a concern, it’s going to be harder for our advanced societies to create jobs. The share of the population that’s in work has been shrinking throughout the centuries,” Mr Creighton told Sky News host Alan Jones. Mr Creighton said he thinks technology, unfortunately, will likely put many out of work. “Machines are getting smarter and smarter… and human intelligence is fixed,” he said. “Artificial intelligence is getting faster and faster, and up to this point, machines have made workers more productive through various tools… but the reality is, they are catching up. “And they only need to be just as good as humans, because you know they don’t get sick. “It’s a scary future for young people.”
