Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Italy’s remote regions get COVID jab priority” – below is their description.
Across much of Italy, most adults are having to wait months to sign up for a COVID vaccine.
But off the coast of Naples, public health officials on the island of Ischia and neighbouring islands are rushing to vaccinate most of its 60,000 adults.
This is part of a pilot programme to vaccinate the people living in Italy’s remote regions quickly.
Al Jazeera’s Adam Raney reports.
