‘It stinks’: Boris Johnson urged to explain flat refurbishment funding

Sky News published this video item, entitled “‘It stinks’: Boris Johnson urged to explain flat refurbishment funding” – below is their description.

The prime minister is being urged to explain how the refurbishment of his Downing Street flat was paid for, following claims from his former chief adviser Dominic Cummings.

In a bombshell blog post, Mr Cummings accused his former boss of plotting an “unethical, foolish, possibly illegal” plan to get Tory donors to secretly bankroll the work.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer declared that “it stinks”, while First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said the “stench of sleaze” surrounding the government is “becoming quite overpowering”.
