Israeli scrap cars sold illegally in West Bank

Palestinian police estimate that there are around 80,000 illegal vehicles in the occupied West Bank that should be in Israel’s scrapyards.

Instead of dumping the cars, they are traded by private Israeli owners and criminal gangs.

The cars have proven popular with Palestinians because they are cheap.
