A week after the latest conflict in the Middle East began, hopes of a truce between Israel and Palestinian militants are receding.
In Israel, a number of people have been killed by a barrage of Hamas rockets and in Gaza 212 people, including more than 60 children, have now died.
To the South West of Jerusalem is the Palestinian territory of Gaza, which has taken the brunt of the Israeli attacks.
