Israel uses ‘apartheid’ to subjugate Palestinians: HRW

Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Israel uses ‘apartheid’ to subjugate Palestinians: HRW” – below is their description.

Human Rights Watch is accusing Israel of the crimes against humanity of apartheid and persecution against Palestinians in some areas.

In a report published on Tuesday, the rights group says the discriminatory policies exist both in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and within Israel itself.

This is the second high profile report this year to accuse Israel of practising apartheid. In January, Israeli rights group B’Tselem said the Israeli government was enacting Jewish supremacist policies.

Al Jazeera’s Harry Fawcett reports from Occupied East Jerusalem.
