Israeli military forces continued to strike Gaza on Thursday morning from the air, as troops massed at Gaza’s border and Hamas and Palestinian militants continued to fire rockets towards cities in Israel.

In renewed airstrikes on Gaza over the Islamic holiday of Eid, Israel struck a six-story residential building in Gaza City that it said belonged to Hamas, as well as a military building.

At least 83 people have been killed in Gaza since violence escalated on Monday, medics said according to Reuters news agency.
