Israel PM Netanyahu in historic East Africa visit

For the first time in nearly 30 years, an Israeli prime minister is visiting African countries.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip will take him to Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Ethiopia.

Diplomatic relations between Israel and African countries date back to 1960s but ties with most of the continent’s nations had to be severed in the wake of the 1973 Arab-Israeli war.

Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Adow reports from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
