A new poll has found 40% of the public would support the government censoring books with content that it deems ‘sexist, homophobic or racist’.
Of the 1,500 surveyed, only 30 percent would oppose this, with 29 percent saying they didn’t know what they thought about the matter.
Andrew Doyle is joined by Peter Whittle, founder and director of the New Culture Forum think tank, to discuss the suggestion of state censorship.
