Plans are starting to emerge about King Charles’s coronation next year, with some concerned that political correctness with triumph over tradition. One sticking point is over whether Queen Consort will wear the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond in her crown. The Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English reports that but the paper’s Diary Editor Richard Eden says to bow-down to criticism would be a ‘crazy’ mistake. ‘The Royal Family should not go woke, it’s crazy, if they go down this route, there’ll be no end to it!’ he tells the programme. ‘The Supreme Court of India in 2016 ruled that the diamond wasn’t stolen, it was a gift from India, that was accepted then. So there’s no reason to think there’s a problem with it.
