An Irish man was rescued moments before reaching Galway after rowing 112 days from New York.
Damian Browne’s started his journey in Manhattan on Tuesday, 14 June at 3.10am and finished in Galway at around 1am on 4 October when he came ashore on the rocks at Furbo Beach, few miles away from his final destination.
Mr Browne travelled for 2,686 hours at sea and managed to cover over 3,450 nautical miles before being rescued by emergency services which quickly brought him to safety.
