Iraqi forces gain more ground in Mosul’s Old City

Iraq’s military says it has advanced in the Old City of Mosul, bringing it closer to driving ISIL fighters completely out of the area.

The army has captured two neighbourhoods northwest of the historic Grand al-Nuri Mosque, which was destroyed last week.

But as it advances, the human toll in Mosul becomes clearer.
