Iowa caucus results show Buttigieg in early lead, Sanders second

The Iowa causes was meant to be the first chance for Democratic presidential hopefuls to make their case to voters in the run-up to the race to the White House.
But the Democratic Party had to apologise after it took almost 24 hours for partial results from the Iowa caucus to be released after the failure of a specially designed app.
With two-thirds of the votes counted Pete Buttigieg held a narrow lead ahead of Bernie Sanders, although both are claiming victory.
