Late last year Australia controversially dumped its submarine deal with France in favour of nuclear submarines from the US and UK, but Australia now has to navigate how it can use nuclear-powered submarines without breaching its non-proliferation obligations. Rafael Grossi is the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency which is the key UN nuclear regulator. He speaks to Sarah Ferguson.
