Old train coaches have been converted into a Covid isolation facility in India’s western Nagpur city.
The new quarantine facility has 176-beds for coronavirus patients, with oxygen cylinders and air coolers to beat the heat of the summer.
With hospitals in the country’s major cities unable to guarantee basic services, some regions have created makeshift solutions to aid the country’s crumbling health system.
With 368,147 new cases over the past 24 hours, India’s total infections stand at 19.93 million, while total fatalities rose by 3,417 to 218,959, according to health ministry data.
