ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “IN FULL: SA travellers will no longer be able to transit unrestricted via Sydney Airport | ABC News” – below is their description.

SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has announced people must quarantine in South Australia if they transit through Sydney airport.

Travellers will no longer be able to transit unrestricted via the Sydney Airport, with a new 14 day quarantine requirement taking effect immediately.

He said the decision was made as they could not be safe believing people would not get the virus through the airport.

The decision is expected to mainly affect people in regional Australia wanting to return to SA.

The decision has been brought into effect, immediately.

Spectators in outdoor sporting events are limited to 1,000 people.

SA authorities have once again urged South Australians in regional Queensland to strongly consider returning home as the coronavirus situation in the sunshine state continues to deteriorate.
