Two people have died with Covid-19 in South Australia, and 285 people are in hospital.
24 of those people are in ICU, and five are on ventilators
The state recorded 3,079 new cases, a reduction on yesterday’s numbers.
Premier Steven Marshall says the number is well below the seven day average, and another indication the state has reached the peak of the current wave.
He rejected request to delay return to school by two weeks, state taking the ‘middle course’.
Mr Marshall says he met with union representatives about the return to school, who requested the government delay the start of term 1 for two weeks.
