The Queen has addressed the nation in a television address – only the fifth time in her 68-year reign – as she urged the country to stick together during the coronavirus outbreak.

The monarch thanked nurses and doctors on the NHS frontline, helping to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

She urged the nation to stick together to spare even more families the grief of losing a loved one to the virus.
