Nicola Sturgeon has announced a ban on alcohol sale in pubs and a 6pm curfew. The First Minister set out that: – Pubs, restaurants, bars and cafes will only be able to operate indoors between 6am and 6pm for the service of food and non-alcoholic drinks – Hotel restaurants will be able to operate after 6pm for residents only and without alcohol – Pubs, restaurants, bars and cafes can continue to serve alcohol outdoors up to 10pm – There will be an exemption on the alcohol ban for weddings that are already booked and for funerals Five health board areas which will see stricter limits still.
