ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “IN FULL: Labor commits to 43% emissions reduction target by 2030 | ABC News” – below is their description.

Federal Labor reveals their climate change policy ahead of the next election, committing to cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 43 per cent by 2030, if it wins government at the next election.

It’s slightly lower than the 45% target the ALP took to the last election, but higher the Coalition’s long-standing target of 26-28%.

The Coalition is projecting Australia’s emissions will have fallen by as much as 35%, but will not commit to reaching that.

Both Labor and the Coalition have committed to reaching net zero emissions by 2050.
