The International Criminal Court (ICC) says U.S. sanctions against its employees are a form of threats and coercion. The response comes after President Donald Trump approved economic and travel sanctions against ICC staff who investigated whether U.S. forces committed war crimes in Afghanistan. The ICC says the U.S. move is “an unacceptable attempt to interfere with rule of law,” and the latest in a series of “unprecedented” attacks on the tribunal.
