‘I thought I would not survive’: Delhi riots victim tells of violent attack as India mourns

Mohammad Zubair was brutally beaten up with sticks and baseball bats by a Hindu group as Delhi experienced some of its worst religious riots in decades. ‘My clothes were drenched in blood’, he said as he narrated his ordeal. Muslims and Hindus across the region have been mourning their loved ones after dozens of people were killed in the latest wave of violence
