Liberal Senator Sarah Henderson says she does not support a quota system in the Liberal party because it’s important for every member to obtain their position in parliament on merit and always put their best foot forward. “When I entered the Senate, that was the very first time we had equal representation,” Ms Henderson told Sky News host Chris Smith. “I think women make wonderful members of parliament. “We are all here on merit, and I think that’s all really important, we all have to stand up and put our best foot forward, and that’s why I don’t support a quota system in the Liberal Party.”
