U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to deliver remarks on Wednesday in Ft. Myers, Fla., following a tour of storm-ravaged areas by helicopter and an operational briefing from federal, local and state officials on current response and recovery efforts.

Biden is being joined on his trip to the state by First Lady Jill Biden.

Hurricane Ian brought waters that flooded homes and streets, with some areas reporting on Monday that floodwaters continue to rise even four days after the storm tore its way through the state.

At least 103 people in the state have been reported dead, according to local officials and there has been more than $100 billion in damage.
