BBC News published this video item, entitled “Hunting for Italy’s stolen art – BBC News” – below is their description.
In 1969, one of Italy’s most famous paintings, Caravaggio’s Nativity, was stolen from a church in Sicily.
50 years later, it is still a mystery what happened to the masterpiece, and who took it.
Six billion dollars worth of stolen art is believed to be traded on the black market and trafficked around the world every year.
Now, a special branch of Italy’s military police, the Carabinieri, is dedicated to finding the country’s stolen treasures.
