Hungary to vote on EU’s refugee quota

Hungary is set to hold a referendum on Sunday on over the European Union’s controversial refugee numbers policy.

The question is: Do you want the European Union to be able to mandate the obligatory resettlement of non-Hungarian citizens into Hungary even without the approval of the National Assembly?

Prime Minister Victor Orban claims Hungary’s democracy is being overridden by EU demands for refugees to be shared out by quotas.

Al Jazeera’s Laurence Lee reports from the Hungary-Serbia border.
