A massive wildfire broke out on July 19 in the region of Penteli in northern Athens, Greece, forcing hundreds to evacuate and leaving three people injured. Two of the injured suffered burns and one suffered breathing difficulties due to smoke inhalation. They were all taken to hospital. The fire broke out after sunset and then spread to the northeastern suburbs of Athens. More than 600 people have been evacuated so far as many homes have been destroyed and roads closed.
