On Christmas Day 2010, Hugh Hefner, founder of the Playboy brand, announced, via Twitter, his engagement to Crystal Harris.
If they marry, Harris, 24, will become the third wife of Hefner, 84, who was married twice before, most recently to Kimberley Conrad, whom he divorced earlier this year.
Herner and Harris were engaged on Christmas eve, prompting the octogenarian entrepreneur to “Tweet”
“This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory.”
Crystal Harris was Playboy’s ‘Playmate of the Month’ in December 2009.
Hugh Hefner founded Playboy magazine in 1953, with an initial investment of $600USD, and the brand has since gone on to dominate not just the top-shelf magazine market, but also to become a major player in clothing, jewellery and, even, home furnishings, as the eponymous ‘bunny’ logo is instantly recognisable, and can now be found on many hundreds of ordinary items.
