The UK’s BBC News put out this useful video to explain how to safely clean a smartphone, in order to remove any potential infection:
While you may want to clean your smartphone, some substances can damage the device.
Dr Lena Ciric, a microbiologist from University College London, says you can effectively clean your phone using just household soap and water.

Regular cleaning using soap and water in this way is a very good idea, particularly to help prevent the spread of viruses. Similarly, regularly washing your hands, and avoiding touching your face, will help to slow the spread of coronavirus, too.
