Amidst the global pandemic, China has ratcheted up its rhetoric against Australia, enacted Hong Kong’s new national security bill, and begun a military build up on its border with India.
But Bonnie Glaser – the director of the China Power Project at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington – tells The World while Beijing remains assertive, the pandemic has revealed vulnerabilities.
