As International Women’s Day approaches, Elise Gould of the Economic Policy Institute says the pandemic has “magnified the cracks” already present in the US labour force. She tells FRANCE 24 the US government stimulus plan will help in the short term – but that more needs to be done to address the gender pay gap and occupational segregation.
