I live in Durham NC and wake up everyday to the news, where a young black person has been shot and killed as a result of gang violence. Maybe our society has become numb to the fact that another person of color has been killed or missing due to the fact that it’s a daily occurrence in many communities .
Isn’t this a Media problem? The discrepancies of reporting? Editors, sensational journalism is ravaging the air waves. Why is the public pestered, badgered, stressed, and agitated by media incompetence? Why must it always be a skin color issue? Incompetence isn’t a skin color issue. But incompetence is hidden behind racism, in many cases vitriolic racism and Joy Reid never misses that ride. The harm the media inflicts.
