    While much of Canada has been battling the COVID-19 pandemic for more than a year, health-care professionals have been warning of a separate “shadow pandemic” amid a rise in cases of eating disorders among youth, with some children as young as eight or nine being admitted to hospitals.

    As Sean Previl explains, doctors say there have been issues for years in treating those with eating disorders and the pandemic only exacerbated that problem.
